There are so many aspects to business…
It can be overwhelming however it doesn’t have to be.
Today I’d like to shine a light on this.
The reason is, it’s key to get present to what you are naturally great at (and honour yourself for those skills and talents).
How will you know?
Certain aspects will come more easy to you than others.
Notice this.
You personally don’t have to be a master at everything. What is handy is to have a deep enough understanding of
1. What you’re achieving
2. What outcomes you need
This is where reverse engineering comes in.
You can ask, hire, appoint, delegate the pieces to others who are much better at that particular aspect than you.
Little pieces of work. Little projects. To move forward.
▫️If you’re great at relationships? Honour that
▫️If you’re great at creative, honour that
▫️If you’re great at execution honour that
▫️If you’re great at problem solving honour that
Then, from a place of KNOWING what you’re good at, you can match what the business needs and then begin piecing together the other parts you need to get you where you’re headed.
I’m so big on this because of the screw ups in my own business life I’ve made.
I ….
▫️ wasted time on the wrong people
▫️selected the wrong people
▫️demanded too much of others in unreasonable ways
▫️wasted tens of thousands on consultants unnecessarily
▫️worked in my business too much (workaholic)
▫️got my sense of identity from my business
▫️took on the wrong customers
▫️fought with my business partners
▫️let our communication differences interrupt our dreams and goals
▫️stayed in the weeds and details way too much instead of being strategic
▫️ undervalued my own skill talent and impact
▫️failed to keep an eye on costs
▫️made and lost more money than I want to think about because it’s painful
However, I kept going.
And the reasons have a lot to do with this phrase…
‘If it was EASY – EVERYONE would be doing it’
So that’s the truth. Being a high performer in business isn’t easy. Running and owning a business isn’t easy.
But it’s awesome when it works well!
🥂 it’s rewarding
🏆 you get to choose the team of suppliers and colleagues you work with
⭐️ you get to choose the hours you work
☕️ you get to choose your workstyle
🏆 you can set your own financial goals and targets and define what wealth means to you
There are many benefits if you can do this one thing….
STAY IN IT for the Long Deep Game…
Don’t be in a rush
Ride the peaks & troughs
Lead yourself to your goals
Trust it is a journey
Keep re-calibrating yourself every day
Have people around you at different times, who add value in the season you need them to.
In all the years, we’ve worked to support business owners and leadership teams as they shape and grow their business…
We’ve learned so much.
There are 5 Key Aspects inside you and your business to keep your eye on and to focus your effort into.
These aspects are invisible. Yet they produce the tangible visible results you’re going for.
You can NEVER stop considering and shaping this aspect of yourself and your business as they are your ticket to what we call, spiraling up.
🏆 spiraling up your business results
🏆 growing as a person
🏆 improving your communication
🏆 improving your style
🏆 improving your negotiation skills
🏆 improving the standard of team you attract
🏆 improving the standard of customer you attract
🏆 improving your own standard of living and quality of your life
To do this, it’s important to figure out what to lose.
What to STOP doing as much as what to actually do.
And this is where I want to assure you, you’re in the right place.
This is what we do here. My team and I are here to support you as you change, and shape and grow yourself and your business.
All you have to figure out is what success looks like for you.
From there. We together can figure it out.
As long as you are prepared to stay in it? With the right strategy and implementation and support , you will get there.
